Hope the party went well!!!  I had just come off a very exhausting and overwhelming work set at 7am (I'm an RN!), so was in no shape to attend (I had kept the rest of the day open just in case).  I sent good vibes out to ya'll though!!!  And weee, I'm on the poster!!!!  Million kisses!!!

It's hard to start, because I have so many people to thank, and would like to try and do it properly.

The short.
We raised $18,173. A huge thanks from the kids, parents and volunteers from BC Children's Hospital.
My personnal goal was to raise enough to get every kid out of the hospital for one weekend this summer. We did that, with a bit more for some of the programs they need to make their lives a bit brighter.

I think we're a group of people who know better than most how much hospitalization sucks! And we can identify with needing some fun too.

I have to start with my Brothers on Midlife Crisis Racing, for their support, and Henk and Patrick for the donation of the Grand Prizes. Everyone says this will be tough to follow!

Of course an empty Shark Club wouldn't be much fun, so the same huge thanks to everyone that showed up. Also, those that couldn't but fired off a few bucks via interent, or bought tickets anyway. VROM and BCSB are a huge part of the crowd, so thanks to those that showed up, and thanks to Adam for letting me abuse that site, and Robert for this site, for the cause.

To the VROM members who grabbed tickets, fired off emails, and put up posters, thanks, a few emails tells me it makes a difference. Same goes for my Pacific Riding School students and fellow instructors, and well as the great folks at West Coast Superbike School.

And the WMRC members, past and present, who donated prizes makes up most of the list. One more reason why I say motorcycling and racing has introduced me to some of the best people you'll ever meet. They're all on the shaw website if you're curious.

From this site (hope I don't miss anyone Shocked!)
Robert, Lee, Monica, Dallas, Tony, Nik for their help. Monica, sorry for sticking you at the door!
Without Dallas doing the prizes, I'd be ruined, I'm not kidding.

Special thanks to Midlife Crisis Racing, PRS, WCSS, WMRC, VROM, Bitchin'Gear, Tap-Moto Leathers, Imperial Motorcycles, Essential Motorcycle Services, Daytona Motorcycles, Motovan, Carter Honda, Pazzo Racing, TGAA and Swan Charities.

I also have to thank all the shops that sold tickets (their at the start of the thread), but especially Bill and Dave from 5thGear, Carter Motorsports (both locations were awesome) Cassells Insurance, and Burnaby Kawasaki.

I'll put all this together some night on the shaw website, with a bunch of pictures. Right now it's time to get outside, I've had enough computer time to last me until next March!

So, all in all, a grand success. Thank you very much.
See you next year.
Bernie

p.s. I think it should be noted we had a lot of fun doing it!
