We raised over 8600 bucks, plus the 12000 from the calendar girls.

What a great day.

I just want to thank everyone participating to make this years Bikers for Burns another success. But especially

A BIG THANK YOU to the VPD for the escort and BILL
and his team for the great stunt show.

As well I would like to send a big request: Please all you photographer and video takers, please send your pictures and videos to info@vrombc.com
This would be very helpful for us to promote the event even bigger and better next year.

Again,

Thank you, Thank you everybody. It wouldn't be possible without
YOU :-)

Smiley That was spectacular! Thanks for all your hard work, people! Smiley Another amazing success, another *big* pot of funds to the Burns Fund... and the move to Harrison seemed just right, like a new beginning.

I confess to some selfishness... I had a *great time* though my stay was brief. It began at the beginning, seeing everyone (freinds old and new). Awesome! Then, as we were leaving the Swan I was at first disappointed to be at the back (and nearly last to leave). But once we were out on the road... the view of hundreds of bikes ahead, and a *very* slick police escort team, made my day. WOW! Truly impressive. Cheesy

Thanks to the organizers for 7 years' work to create an event that really is an ''Annual Must Do" on the riding calendar. Wink

Cheers,
Charles Smiley

PS: Who should I call to express my thanks for the VPD escort? Their contribution made a *huge* difference. It was probably the best organized -well "thought-out"- escort ever. *Mmm... Also very strange to have police racing up behind ya... and pass ya but I won't mention that.  Cheesy

I have around 2 gigs of photo's and video's I shot of the actual ride, a bit too much to send via my yahoo email account.  If you like I can burn the raw footage to DVD and either mail it or drop it off somewhere.   Not sure how much of the video would be useful as the camera tended to drop down a bit but you are welcome to it.   Just let me know where to send it.

Thank you.

If you could burn a DVD and send it to:

Robert Wiedemann
Po Box 3443
Langley, BC

would be greatly appreciated.

Or if you are close to the Swan, just drop it of there, I get it from Jason or Harison.

Thanks for coming out and supporting this event.

Charles, if you want to express your thanks to the VPD, I'd start at the top.  Chief Jim Chu.  His office will certainly pass our comments on to the appropriate people.

A personal observation, if I may - Under the previous Chief Constable, we would never have received this co-operation.

You may express your gratitude to the VPD by emailing vpd@vpd.ca and include the date and the event and any members names that you know, if not just refer to them as the VPD Motorcycle Unit.
